Arrival by train from the airport and hotel is on the same street you leave, 5 minutes walk. As soon as you see it from the outside, you realize that it is a small and cozy hotel, even if you are in the center, you enter you feel a very calm atmosphere and with some vintage details. friendly staff with a smile explained everything about the hotel, stay and check out. room is very small, it worked perfectly for me. I booked one with shared bathroom, (to save some dollars), it was always clean, bathroom was at the end of the corridor, few meters from the room, I saw no problem
Maybe they could have luggage storage inside the same hotel and for free.. when you ask they send you to another hotel 1 block away and charge you 2 dlls per bag. It's not a big deal either. In general my stay was very pleasant, it's a very simple hotel, well nice and cheap. . I would definitely come back

Inexpensive hotel in the heart of the city. Excellent service, the room had a fridge, kettle, hair dryer, iron. Near the shops and cafes. good transport connections.
it would be nice to have breakfast, because I had to find a place to eat or buy breakfast at the store.

The place was modern and had pretty friendly staff on an earlier shift, liked the stay. The food was well priced. The location was incredible in the centre of the city. Downtown San Francisco district was worth visiting.
It had very uncomfortable beds, maybe it was bad luck.

I only liked the location, and easy access to all sf attractions using cable car/walking. The rest is bad, noise, not very clean, cable internet...etc
Everything except the location. Pictures appear in website are way better. Room is very old and not very clean.

Our rooms looked just like the pictures. I read the reviews the day before of our scheduled arrival date and was very concerned about bedbugs and dirty linens. It was too late to cancel and find new accomodations. Our experience was very positive. This is not a luxury hotel, the rooms were small but very clean--NO bedbugs! Finding street parking around the hotel is impossible and paid parking is quite pricey in downtown SF. The Mexican Restaurant's breakfast was delicious and cheap. We walked fron the hotel to Chinatown, Union Square shops, and to North Beach. The Powell Street Car stop is just one block from the hotel on Market Street. My friends and I will choose this hotel for our next visit!
The parking situation in front of the hotel is marked as a loading and unloading zone. These few spaces are usually taken by big delivery truck and it is very difficult to load and unload both, passengers and baggage. The hotel did not offer discounted parking spaces for guests.

Checkin easy, position ideal, room clean and comfortable. Just the spot for people on a moderate budget wanting to spend some time in San Fran without paying huge amounts for a central position Quiet, warm and double glazed as well!
Some more information about the phone system would be useful.
